14-party alliance meets EC to bar reshuffle in admin

Staff Correspondent: The ruling Awami League (AL) led 14-party alliance on Friday held a meeting with the Election Commission (EC) to prevent reshuffle in administration ahead of the upcoming 11th general election.
Claiming the demand of reshuffling top officials made by Jatiya Oikyafront as baseless and false, the ruling alliance told EC that the existing strong administrative will weaken if reshuffle makes.
A 12-member delegation led by former Industry Minister Dilip Barua handed over a letter to EC at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon in the evening.
Election Commissioner Kabita Khanam, Rafiqul Islam and EC secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed were present in the meeting that started at 4:00pm and continued for more than an hour.
