Not more than 70 seats for alliance partners, says Quader

Staff Correspondent: The Awami League (AL) secretary general Obaidul Quader said that partners of the party-led alliance will not get more than 70 seats to contest in the upcoming 11the general election.
He told this to the reporters after a four-hour long meeting with the alliance partners at AL central office in the capital’s Bangabandhu Avenue on Saturday.
Quader said, “We made an internal discussion. We also talked to other members of 14-party alliance including Jatiya Party (JP). Distribution of seats is still under discussion. It will be formally announced tomorrow or the following day.”
In reply, how many seats will be given Jatiya Party? He said, “It is not clear now. But partners will be given maximum 65 to 70 seats.”
