Ataur Rahman gets AL Advisory Council membership

Senior Correspondent: Veteran theatre personality Ataur Rahman has been made Awami League Advisory Council member.

A press release signed by Awami League Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap confirmed the matter on Saturday noon.

Awami League President Sheikh Hasina nominated him as a member of the party’s advisory council exercising the power bestowed upon her in the last national council of AL.

Born in Noakhali on 18 June 1941, he showed his mastery in acting. He won Ekushey Padak in 2001 for his contribution to drama.
