Ishraq, Tabith get BNP’s tickets for Dhaka city polls

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) nominated Ishraq Hossain and Tabith Awal as its candidates for the mayoral posts in the upcoming elections to Dhaka south and north city corporations respectively.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced their names at party chairperson’s Gulshan political office on Saturday evening.

Ishraq is son of former undivided Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka. He is a member of Advisory Committee on International Affairs of BNP Chairperson.

Tabith Awal is son of BNP leader Abdul Awal Mintu.
