Govt decides to release Khaleda Zia

Law Minister Anisul Huq said, the government has decided to release BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for six months.

The minister made the disclosure while addressing an emergency press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

He said, the government suspended her sentence as per section 401 of Criminal Code of Procedure.

However, Khaleda Zia has to stay home in Dhaka and receive her treatment here, she will not be allow to leave the country, law minister added.
