Mamunul Haque to continue his post: Hefazat

Hefazat-e-Islam joint general secretary Mamunul Haque is going to continue his post in the organization. No decision was taken to release him from the party.

Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Junaid Babungari said this while addressing a press conference after an urgent meeting of the organization in Hathazari in Chattogram on Sunday afternoon (April 11).

Babungari said, "No personal matter was discussed in today's meeting. The controversy over joint secretary general Mamunul Haque is very personal. There was no talk of exempting anyone from the party."

According to the decision from the meeting, Babungari demanded withdrawal of case filed against Hefazat leaders and activists across the country.

Around 35 central leaders of the organisation were present at the emergency meeting chaired by Junaid Babungari.
