AL announces full-fledged central committee

The ruling Awami League announced its full-fledged central working committee bringing four new faces in the team on Sunday (January 1).

In the 28-member posts, the new faces are former state minister Taran Halim, Suchinta foundation Chairman Mohammad Ali Arafat, Dilip Kumar Chattarjee and Tarik Sujat.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the names after a meeting a Ganabhaban on Sunday (January 1).

Earlier, the 22nd National Council of the ruling Awami League was held with formation of new committee on Saturday (December 24).

Sheikh Hasina was reelected as President of Awami League (AL) for the 10th consecutive time in council. Obaidul Quader was reelected to the post of AL General Secretary for the third consecutive term.
