‘Application to send Khaleda Zia abroad now in law ministry’

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has opined, “BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has to face legal procedure if it is needed to send her abroad for treatment. Therefore, the application her family submitted to take her abroad has been sent to the law ministry for its decision”.

He made the opinion while addressing a press conference in the capital’s Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) on Saturday (September 30) morning.

Kamal said, “Khaleda Zia has been released from jail following an executive order on humanitarian ground. However, she has been convicted in a graft case which has been through legal procedure. Now she has to face legal procedure or resort to the court if it is needed to send her abroad for treatment.”
