Election will not stop for anyone: Obaidul

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the next general election will be held as per the constitution under an independent election commission. The election will not stop for anyone.

He said this while talking to reporters after placing a wreath on the grave of Sheikh Russel at Banani graveyard in Dhaka on Wednesday (October 18).

Obaidul Quader also said there are multiple political parties that want to join the election.

“Why do you think that an election will not be acceptable if one or two parties do not participate in it? To participate in the election is a political right, and if a party does not use it, that is up to them,” he added.
