Quader directs AL leaders, activists to guard puja mandaps

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has directed the leaders and workers of the AL and its affiliated bodies to guard puja mandaps during the Durg Puja.

He made the call while addressing reporters after exchanging views with the leaders of Puja Ujjapan Parishad at AL President Sheikh Hasina's political office at Dhanmondi in capital Dhaka on Friday (October 20).

Obaidul Quader said that the incident of violence in Comilla came to the attention of the party. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has personally inquired the issue with deep concern. The whole matter is being investigated. Disciplinary action will be taken if anyone is found guilty.

In reply to a question regarding BNP’s rally on October 28, he also said the same fate of December 10 will be happened on October 28.
