Dr Kamal Hossain retires from politics

Dr Kamal Hossain has retired from all political activities and resigned from the position of president at Gonoforum.

He made this announcement during the Special National Council held at the National Press Club auditorium on Friday (27 October).

In a written statement, Kamal Hossain said, “Since the party's inception, I have walked this path with you, striving to collectively address national problems and crises. However, given my age and physical condition, actively fulfilling the duties of the president is no longer feasible for me. In light of this, I hereby resign from all political activities and from the position of president within the public forum”.

Mofizul Islam Khan Kamal and Dr Md Mizanur Rahman have been elected president and general secretary respectively at the council.

It was also told at the special council that a full-fledged committee of the party will be announced within the next one week.
