Jamaat also calls countrywide blockade

After BNP’s announcement, Jamaat-e-Islami has also called a ‘countrywide blockade’ for three days starting from October 31 to press home their demands.

Acting Secretary General of the party Maulana ATM Masum made the announcement in a statement on Monday (October 30).

Earlier, the BNP announced that the party would observe a ‘countrywide blockade’ for three days starting from October 31 to press home their one-point demand and to protest the killing of the party activists and the arrests of party leaders and activists, including its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a virtual press briefing on Sunday (October 29) evening.
