Afjal gets AL ticket for Patuakhali-1 by-polls

The ruling Awami League has nominated its central Organizing Secretary Afjal Hossain for vying by-polls to Patuakhali-1 (Sadar, Mirzaganj and Dumki upazila) constituency.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the party’s parliamentary nomination board at the Prime Minister’s office at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Monday.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chaired the meeting.
