Alal on 5-day remand

BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal has been put on a five-day remand in a case filed with Paltan Thana.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin passed the order after a hearing on Wednesday evening.

Earlier, Paltan Model Thana Sub-Inspector Forhad Matubbar filed a petition for a 10-day remand in the case filed for violence and pistol snatching.

The Detective Branch of police detained the BNP leader from his Shahjahanpur residence in the capital on the night of October 31.
