‘Money being spent to suspend UN peacekeeping missions’

Foreign Affairs Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen said that some people got desperate to destroy the country’s image after seeing the success of the government. At the same time, they are spending money to suspend the UN peacekeeping mission.
The Minister said this while addressing as the chief guest at a distribution programme of cheques and vouchers among poor people at Sylhet Sadar Upazila on Friday (July 28) noon.
A K Abdul Momen said, “Some people may not like the government. But this does not mean that he/she will harm the country. No one has that right. But they are harming the country by damaging the image of the government. They are spending money. Therefore, everyone should be careful to prevent all such evil activities for the sake of the country.”
Foreign Minister’s wife Selina Momen, Metropolitan Awami League General Secretary Professor Zakir Hossain, Awami League leaders Sujat Ali Rafique and Nizam Uddin were present during at the programme.
