BTRC plans to reopen mobile internet Sunday-Monday

Broadband internet services were restored in selected areas on the night of July 23 after a five-day shutdown. 

However, mobile internet services are still not restored. The internet was shut down to curtail the violent protest across the country over the quota reform in government jobs.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has planed to reopen the mobile internet on Sunday or Monday.

BTRC Chairman Md Mohiuddin Ahmed said transmission lines and data centers have already been repaired. Now we are conducting tests. If everything goes fine, the mobile internet services will be restored on Sunday-Monday.
