Nurul Haq Nur lands in jail after remand

Nurul Haque Nur, president of a faction of Gana Adhikar Parishad, was denied bail and sent to jail after completion of a five-day remand over the attack on Setu Bhaban.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shakil Ahmed passed the order after hearing on Friday (July 26).

Earlier DB cantonment zonal team inspector Abu Sayeed Mia, also investigation officer (IO) of the case produced the accused before the court and pleaded to keep him behind the bars.

On July, an attack took place at Setu Bhaban. Following the incident, Rabiul Islam, caretaker of Setu Bhaban filed a case with Banani police station.
