India will not be able to stay well if tries to create instability: Sakhawat

Labor and Employment and Shipping Adviser Retired Brigadier General Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain has said, “If India tries to create instability in Bangladesh, they will not be able to stay well as some 18 crore people of Bangladesh must not sit silently.

The adviser came up with the remark, replying to a query of journalists after visiting the Launchghat Multipurpose Jetty of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) under BRWTP-1 project in Narayanganj on Tuesday afternoon.

Sakhawat Hossain said, “India is a big country, we are their small neighbor.  Some Indian media and political parties are trying to create communal unrest to get votes. We will not remain silent all the time. Our media will also not remain silent. Relations with neighboring countries should be good”.

The shipping adviser hoped that bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India will be strengthened the existing relation based on equality in days to come.

BIWTA Chairman Commodore Arif Ahmed Mustafa, Superintendent of Police, Narayanganj District Pratyush Kumar Majumder, BIWTA Director Arif Uddin, among others, were present there.
