Matsyajibi Parishad President Ferdous arrested

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested President of Bangabandhu Matsyajibi Parishad Nasir Uddin Ahmed Ferdous in connection with a case with Khilgaon thana.

He was arrested from the Dhanmondi area around 8pm on Thursday.

Deputy Commissioner (Public Relations Officer) of DMP Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter.

Police said the case against Nasir was filed with Khilgaon thana for his alleged involvement with the attack on Ahadul Islam, son of Mahammd Baker of Meradia area, during the movement on July 19.

Ahadul Islam was seriously injured as Awami League activists fired indiscriminately on the students and public at that time.

Victim's father Md. Baker filed a case with Khilgaon Police station on October 17 in this connection.
