Bangladesh likely to see political govt next year: Education Adviser

Planning and Education Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud has said Bangladesh may see a political government by next year.

“The interim government is a temporary government, and I think there will be an elected government in 2025,” he said.

The adviser made the remarks at the Annual BIDS Conference on Development (ABCD) 2024, organised by the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), on Saturday (December 7) morning.

“Economic and income inequality is the major pressing concerns at this moment. To tackle this disparity, quality education is paramount, an area where Bangladesh still has a long way to go,” Wahiduddin said.
