Gold price hits new record

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold by Tk 1,750 to Tk 109,875 per bhori, making a new record in the country.

A press release signed by standing committee on pricing and price monitoring chairman MA Hannan Azad disclosed this on Wednesday (November 29).

The new tariff will come into effect on Thursday (November 30), the release said.

The price of 22-carat gold is now Tk 1,09,875, 21-carat gold Tk 1,04,859 and 18-carat gold Tk 89,929.
