Incessant rain washed out the second T20 match between Bangladesh and New Zealand at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui on Friday (December 29).
Match officials declared the game abandoned after rain halted the New Zealand innings at 72/2 in 11 overs.
Tim Seifert was the highest scorer for New Zealand with 43 off 23 balls. Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Philips took 18 and 9 runs respectively.
Shoriful Islam and fellow pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib have combined to remove the two New Zealand openers.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and decided to bowl first.
