Bangladesh out of U19 World Cup after heartbreaking defeat

Bangladesh have been out of the U-19 World Cup semifinal as Pakistan beat them by five runs Saturday.
Pakistan edged past Bangladesh by five runs in a low-scoring thriller in a low-scoring thriller at Willowmoore Park, Benoni to qualify for the semifinal.
In the Super Six match, Bangladesh needed to chase down the target of 156 in 38.1 overs to make it to the knockouts but Pakistan bundled them out for 150.
The Young Tigers came to the game, which turned out to be virtual quarterfinal, knowing that they have tough task at hands to confirm their semifinal berth. With Pakistan holding the edge due to net run rate, Bangladesh knew they would have to win it by big margin.
Rohanat Doullah Borson and Sheikh Parvez Jibon shared eight wickets between them evenly to dismiss Pakistan for just 155 in 40.4 overs, making the calculation easier.
Bangladesh thereafter needed to gun down the target in 38.1 overs to eclipse Pakistan's net run rate but as disappointing as it was that they were eventually skittled out for 150 in 35.5 overs.
As a result, Pakistan became the second team from Group A of Super Six round after India to advance to the semifinal.
Earlier, Bangladesh bowlers gave a good account of themselves and bowled out Pakistan for 155.
