Born in 1990 in the village of Bijbehara, Jammu and Kashmir, Amir Hussian Lone faced a life-altering event at the tender age of eight.

While playing at his father's sawmill, he was involved in a horrific accident that resulted in the loss of both his arms. However, this devastating setback did not deter Amir's spirit or his love for cricket.

Legendary India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar flagged of the Indian Street Premier League in emphatic style, asking para cricketer Amir to play the first delivery of the tournament.

The incident caught the attention of many on social media.

Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan lauded Sachin Tendulkar for his kind gesture in the ISPL.

The Indian legend and Amir batted together in the first match of the ISPL.

Sachin looked in terrific touch, hitting actor Akshay Kumar for massive sixes. Before his onslaught, Sachin invited Amir Lone to take strike in the first over of the match.

Amir Hussain Lone's journey from a tragic accident to becoming an emblem of resilience and determination in the world of para-cricket is nothing short of inspirational.

Despite the challenges, Amir's unwavering determination saw him rise through adversity. With the support of his family, particularly the timely treatment facilitated by his parents and an army unit in his village, Amir began to adapt to his new circumstances. He developed a unique technique to play cricket, using his legs for bowling and his shoulder and neck for batting.
