Soumya becomes fastest Bangladeshi to get 2000 ODI runs

Soumya Sarkar has become the fastest Bangladeshi batter to reach the milestone of 2000 runs in ODIs.

Soumya has 12 fifties and three centuries in this format for Bangladesh.

He made this milestone during the second ODI against Sri Lanka at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Friday.

Surpassing the milestone in just his 64th ODI innings, Sarkar eclipsed the previous record held by Shahriar Nafees, who achieved the feat in 65 innings.
