No terminal exam for Class 1-3 students

Students of classes one, two and three will not have to sit for the first and second terminal examinations from this year.
Primary and Mass Education Ministry Secretary Farid Ahmad made the announcement while addressing a press conference at the Secretariat in Dhaka on Thursday.
First and second terminal examinations will not be held like the previous years. But their performance in the classes will be evaluated, he added.
He said an app has been developed to evaluate the students. The government is trying to free the students from extra loads, he said, adding students will also be evaluated on their overall performances at school.
It is mentionable that the implementation of a new curriculum at primary and secondary levels began in 2023. The system will be implemented at class XII in 2027.
