Grandmaster Ziaur no more 

Bangladesh’s Chess Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman is no more.

He passed away on Friday evening after feeling ill while playing in the National Chess Championship. It is learnt that Ziaur was in a good position against Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Rajib in the 12th round of the National Chess Championship.

He felt ill at around 6:00pm. He was then rushed to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital but duty doctors declared him dead.

He was 50 years.

General Secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation Syed Shahabuddin Shamim confirmed the news to risingbd.
