The students of Begum Rokeya University (BRU) started to leave their dormitories on Wednesday morning (July 17) following the clash over quota movement.
Mahbub Morshed, a 12th batch student of the English Department, said the university administration ordered to vacate the hall last night. So, we are leaving the hall now.
Wishing anonymity, another student said I could not come here yesterday night. I passed the night at a friend’s room with panic. Now I am leaving the campus with necessary items.
Earlier, Abu Sayeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR), was killed in a clash with the police and BCL activists on Tuesday noon. Later, the university was declared shut for an indefinite period amid violence on the campus centring quota reform movement.
