Journalist Aghore Mondal no more

Country’s renowned sports journalist Aghore Mondal is no more.

He passed away at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the city on Wednesday. He was 58. 

Aghore was also the acting president of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association.

He left behind his wife, two daughters and a lot of well-wishers to mourn his death. 

He was suffering from kidney and coronary disease for a long time and underwent treatment at the BSMMU for the past two months. 

He was diagnosed with dengue fever and admitted to the hospital on September 5.

He was on life-support for more than a week since then as his condition deteriorated.

Aghore was involved with journalism for the past three decades. He worked with the Daily Bhorer Kagoj, Channel I, ATN News, Dipta TV and ATN News.
