Shakib Al Hasan to return to Dhaka Thursday

There were some complexities regarding Shakib Al Hasan's arrival in Bangladesh. Skipping all uncertainty, finally he is going to return home on Thursday.

Bangladesh's star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will return to the country to play the series against South Africa, a source from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed.

Basically, the discussion regarding Shakib’s return started in August. Shakib was a member of the parliament during the Awami League regime. Countrymen expected a positive response from the star cricketer during the July-August uprising. But he was silent at that time.

Recently, Shakib Al Hasan has expressed regret for remaining silent during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Shakib explained his position and apologized for his inaction. Sakib said, "I respectfully remember those students who sacrificed their lives in this movement, and I extend my heartfelt condolences to their families."
