This decision came after the impressive 15-year tenure in the 50-over format, where he has played an instrumental role in the rise of Afghan cricket.
He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2009.
Over the years, he has become a stalwart of Afghanistan cricket, securing his position as the nation’s second-highest wicket-taker and run-scorer in ODIs.
In an announcement that has resonated throughout the cricketing world, Afghanistan's cricketing icon Mohammad Naseeb Khan, the chief executive of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), confirmed the news, stating that Nabi had communicated his retirement desires to the board.
