AMBER Victory Day T20 Cup from Sunday

Sports Correspondent, DHAKA, Dec 20: The AMBER Victory Day T20 Cup will start from Sunday (22 December 2013) in Sylhet.

Announcing the schedule of the tournament at a press conference on Friday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed that four teams would participate in the T20 battle.

The four teams are Abahani Limited, Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Prime Bank Cricket Club and UCB (United Commercial Bank Limited) BCB XI.

Matches will be played at Sylhet Divisional Stadium (SDS) and Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS), Mirpur, Dhaka.

The final match will be played on December 31 at SBNCS.

Three players in each team have been placed in Grade A (please see team list) while the remaining squad members will all be in Grade B. Grade A players will receive a tournament fee of BDT 2,50,000.00 while the fees for Grade B has been fixed at BDT 1,50,000.00.

The champions will receive a cash prize of Tk. 20 lakh while the runners up prize is Tk. 10 lakh.

The player of the tournament will get Tk. 1 lakh.

AMBER Group named as the title sponsors of the event while Biman Bangladesh Airlines became Official Carriers of the tournament.
