Ireland women win toss, opt to bat against Bangladesh in 2nd T20

Ireland Women’s team has won the toss and decided to bat first against Bangladesh in a crucial second T20 match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in a bid to level the three-match series.

The match began at 2 pm on Saturday (December 7). Satellite television channel T Sports is broadcasting the match live.

The match turned out to be a ‘do or die’ game for the hosts to keep the series alive as they lost the first game by 12 runs.

In the opening game, Ireland posted their highest-ever T20 total against Bangladesh, scoring 169-5.

The Tigresses earlier swept the three-match ODI series in dominating fashion to keep their direct qualification to the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup to be held in India, next year, alive.
