Shakib Al Hasan
Bangladesh National Team allrounder Shakib Al Hasan has been banned from bowling in all competitions.
Shakib was first suspended by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for an illegal action.
He appeared for reassessment at an accredited testing centre at Sri Ramachandra Centre for Sports Science in Chennai, India last month. But, he failed there.
On Saturday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said Shakib Al Hasan has remained suspended from bowling.
Consequently, the player's existing suspension from bowling in international cricket following the initial independent assessment at the testing centre of Loughborough University in the UK, also remains in place.
Shakib failed an independent assessment of his bowling action earlier this month at Loughborough University, an ICC-accredited testing center in the UK.
This followed a report of a suspect action during an English county cricket match in September. As a result, the ECB took action, enforcing a suspension in line with clause 11.3 of the ICC's regulations for illegal bowling actions.
According to these regulations, when a national cricket board suspends a player from bowling in domestic competitions, the suspension is automatically recognized and enforced by the ICC in international cricket and by all other national cricket boards in their domestic competitions. This enforcement is effective immediately upon receipt of the official notice, without requiring any additional formalities.
