Tamim Iqbal undergoes angioplasty, stent fitted

Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has been diagnosed with a heart blockage after he was rushed to the hospital with severe chest pain during a match in Savar.
Already doctors have placed a stent to restore blood flow, and he is now under observation in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
Dhaka Premier League match referee Debabrata Pal said, “Tamim Iqbal has undergone an angiogram. A block has been detected in his heart and a stent has been placed. Currently he is in the CCU. He will be under observation for the next 24 hours. His condition is currently a little more stable than before.”
Earlier the cricketer felt severe pain in his chest during the match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club. He was taken to the hospital adjacent to BKSP due to his critical condition.
