Walton Masters Carnival begins with Rajshahi-Sylhet clash

Sports Correspondent, From Cox’s Bazar: The third version of the Walton Masters Cricket Carnival (MCC) is going to kick off on Wednesday (May 2) with the clash between Rajshahi Masters and Sixers Sylhet Masters.

The tournament with the participation of former famed cricketers are scheduled to be held at the two grounds of Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in the country’s tourist town of Cox’s Bazar.

All the eleven matches of the four-day tournament will be aired Live on Channel-I. The final match will be held on May 5.

Walton Group, the country’s leading electrical, electronic goods, Home Appliances and automobiles manufacturing company, has become the title sponsor of the tournament for consecutive third time.

A total of five teams are taking part in the franchise-based tournament arranged by Imago Sports Management.


The five participants of the third version are: Beximco- Dhaka Masters, Sixers Sylhet Masters, Amber Chattogram Masters, Rajshahi Masters and Khulna Masters.

Former cricketers who have experiences of at least five years in the national team, ‘A’ team and Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League will be qualified for participating in the tournament.

May 03:

Chattogram Master – Sixers Sylhet Masters, 9:05am (Ground no. 2)

Rajshahi Masters – Khulna Masters, 11:30am (Ground no. 1)

Dhaka Masters – Rajshahi Masters, 3:30pm (Ground no. 2)

May 04:

Khulna Masters – Sixers Sylhet Masters, 9:05am (Ground no. 1)

Rajshahi Masters – Chattogram Masters, 9:05am (Ground no. 2)

Dhaka Masters – Chattogram Masters, 3:40pm (Ground no. 1)

May 05:

Dhaka Masters – Sixers Sylhet Masters, 9:05am (Ground no. 1)

Khulna Masters – Chttogram Masters, 9:05am (Ground no. 2)

Final: 3:45pm (Ground no. 1)

Mentionable, Khulna Masters won the title of the first edition while Acme Rajshahi Masters and Expo All Stars Masters jointly the second edition.
