Bangladesh set to face Pakistan in Asiad Hockey today

Sports Desk: Bangladesh National Hockey Team is set to take on Pakistan hockey team in their last match of Pool B of Asian Games 2018 today (August 28).
Bangladesh are in third place with three wins from four matches while Pakistan are topping the chart with four victories from equal number of matches.
This will be an uphill task for the boys in red and green when they will meet their Asian counterpart today.
So far in the Asian Games in Indonesia, Bangladesh have produced satisfactory results in hockey where they beat Oman by 2-1 goals in their opening match and outplayed Kazakhstan by 6-1 margin in the second game.
The boys lost their third match against strong Malaysian side by 7-0 goals but bounced back in the next match where they defeated Thailand by 3-1 goals.
Coach Gobinathan Krishnamurthy’s boys will hope to get positive results in their last match of the Asiad as it is likely that Malaysia and Pakistan will join the semi-final stage.
Bangladesh played against Pakistan in Asian hockey tournament last year in homesoil where the boys suffered a 0-7 defeat against the visitors.
