ACC issues travel ban on 7 Farmers Bank officials

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has issued travel on seven top officials of Farmers Bank including former managing director (MD) KM Shameem.
Syed Iqbal Hossain, ACC director, also investigation officer (IO) of the allegation, issued separate letters.
The letters were sent to Special Superintendent of Police (Immigration), Special Branch from ACC head office on Wednesday.
ACC director (Public Relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the news to risingbd.
Bank officials who face travel ban are: former managing director and chief executive officer AKM Shameem, former senior vice-president Zia Uddin Ahmed, first vice-president Swapan Kumar Roy, senior executive vice-president Gazi Salauddin, vice-president M Lutful Haque, assistant vice-president Shafiuddin Askaree Ahmed and executive officer Umme Salma Sultana.
Earlier, the seven bank officials on Wednesday were grilled over transaction of Tk 4 crore to former chief justice Surendra Kumar Sinha's account.
