Imrul included while Liton promoted to BCB central contract

Sports Desk: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has published its central contract 17-player list for the year 2019 which includes Imrul Kayes and promotes Liton Das.

Of the list, 12 players are now in the A and B categories while five players were handed rookie contracts.

Liton Kumar Das was rewarded following his good showing with the bat and has been promoted to B category after he was rookie list the previous year while left-hander Nazmul Hossain did not get a central contract this time. Abu Hider was retained in the rookie category while four new faces have been awarded rookie contract this time around. Most notably, Soumya Sarkar, Mosaddek Hossain, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Taskin Ahmed and Sabbir Rahman all missed out on central contracts this time as well after they did not make the cut last year.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Imrul Kayes, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain.

The players in B category:

Mominul Haque, Liton Kumar Das, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam

Rookie category:

Abu Hider Rony, Abu Jayed, Mohammad Saifuddin, Nayeem Hasan, Khaled Ahmed
