Bangladesh beat US by 8 wickets

Sports Desk: Bangladesh Women beat United States of America Women by eight wickets in the second match of ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier at Lochlands, Arbroath in Scotland on Sunday.

US Women were all out scoring just 46 runs in 19.5 overs.

In chase, Bangladesh Women reached target just losing two wickets and won the match by 8 wickets.

Sanjida Islam scored 30 runs with three fours and a six. Ayesha Rahman hit 8 runs while Nigar Sultana* 5 and Ritu Moni* 1 run.

Earlier for Bangladesh, Nahida Akter bagged three wickets for just 12 runs in 3.5 overs with a maiden.

Jahanara Alam and Khadizatul Kubra shared two wickets.

Earlier on Sunday, Bangladesh Women was scheduled to take on Papua New Guinea Women. But the match could not start due to rain. The match is expected to be held on Monday on the reserved day.
