Bangladeshi Fatema becomes head coach of Maldives cricket team

Fatema Tuz Jahara, former member of Bangladesh national women’s cricket team, has become the head coach of Maldives national women’s cricket team. 

The Maldives Cricket Board confirmed her appointment on Sunday (August 14).

Studying from Jahangir University (JU), Fatema completed ICC Level-II Umpiring Course and CA Course.

Earlier she worked as a coach for women cricketers of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP). This time she got the opportunity to work in the international arena. She also has experience of umpiring. She started umpiring in women’s first division cricket in 2015.

The journey of the Maldives women’s cricket team in the international arena has just begun. The team have played only three T20 International matches so far. However, they have not played any international match in the last three years.
