Sri Lanka announce Asia Cup squad

Sri Lanka  on Friday announced a 20-man squad for the Asia Cup Twenty20 Tournament-2022.

Dashun Shanaka will lead while Bhanuka Rajapaksha and Dinesh Chandimal both have found places. Baby Malinga Matheesha Pathirana has also been named in the 20-man squad.

The multi-nation tournament, in a T20I format, is due to be held in the United Arab Emirates from August 27 to September 11.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka, but shifted to the UAE due to political turmoil and the economic crisis in the cricket-crazy island nation.
