World Cup winning goalkeeper Martinez calls on PM

Argentina’s World Cup winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the latter’s office here.

During the meeting around 2 pm on Monday (July 3), the premier appreciated the Argentine footballer for his contribution to winning the Football World Cup-2022 title.

At this time, the 30-year-old goalkeeper has gifted a jersey of Argentina national team to the Premier.

Earlier, Martinez met Bangladesh cricket superstar Mashrafe bin Mortaza and ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak during his short trip in Dhaka.

Martinez is visiting Bangladesh at the invitation of NEXT Ventures, a leading digital business group, aimed at bringing further recognition to NEXT Ventures’ flagship brand, FundedNext.

During his visit to the NEXT Ventures office, Martinez participated in a short interview and engage in a series of photoshoots to enhance the brand’s visibility.

Martinez, who visited Bangladesh for 11 hours, is scheduled to leave Dhaka for India at 4:40 pm.
