South Africa beat Bangladesh by 149 runs in 23rd match of ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai of India on Tuesday (October 24).
South African captain Aiden Markram won the toss and decided to bat first. They set a massive target of 383 runs, but Bangladesh only managed 233 runs with loss of all wickets in 46.4 overs.
The Proteas scored 382 runs in 50 overs losing five wickets, thanks to a 174-run brilliant innings from 140 balls by de Kock.
In a situation where no one stood with the bat for Bangladesh, gritty Mahmudullah Riyad batted as the lone warrior and hit a spectacular century against South Africa.
