12kg LPG cylinder price increased to Tk 1,381

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of a 12kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk 18 to Tk 1,381 for the month of November.

BERC announced the new price at a press conference on Thursday (November 2).  It will be effective from Thursday evening. The previous price of a 12kg LPG cylinder was Tk 1363.

BERC has also set prices of 15kg LPG cylinder at Tk 1726, 16kg LPG cylinder at Tk 1842, 18kg LPG cylinder at Tk 2072, 20kg LPG cylinder at Tk 2302, 22kg LPG cylinder at Tk 2532, 25kg LPG cylinder at Tk 2877, 30kg LPG cylinder at Tk 3453, 33kg LPG cylinder at Tk 3798, 35kg LPG cylinder at Tk 4028 and 45kg LPG cylinder at Tk 5179.

BERC officials said the LPG price will witness an increase in the local market due to the increase in the prices of Saudi CP (contract price).

The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder was the lowest at Tk 999 in July this year. The price continued to rise since then, reaching Tk1,284 in September and Tk1,363 in October.
